About Us
Little Vintage started life 3 years ago as a way to recycle barely worn children’s clothes. We resold some of them, and the others we turned into desirable new things - cushions, quilts, lavender bags - the only limit was our imagination - and the size of the outfit! We gave all the money to a local children’s charity and as our children didn’t stop growing, neither did the mountain of outgrowns! We plan to hold further charity sales in the near future - keep an eye on the website.
In the meantime, we had well and truly caught the recycling bug - almost everything destined for the bin or hiding forgotten at the back of a cupboard fell under our scrutiny - soon, no cupboard or second hand sale was safe! Today, everything we create is, as far as is possible, made from recycled or vintage materials - some of them need an injection of ‘something new’ to breathe life into them again - but most just need a new eye.
Sometimes, things are too special to throw away. We also offer a service to turn your treasured item into something that you can use again - or enjoy on a daily basis - how about a beautiful quilt made out of those treasured ‘first summer’ dresses, or a gorgeous hairband made out of the ribbons saved from a special birthday?
